Alert! I Need Help on Medium.
Please… I promise to be very brief.
I have been part of this beautiful community for only a few months. And I think it’s great to share my passion with you. I mean it.
This experience allows me to surpass myself everyday. It’s a form of personal and professional propulsion for me, in a way. I say this, quite simply, because of all that it has brought me so far.
It has allowed me to be a little more organized and open-minded. I have to admit that although I have been freelancing for a while, I didn’t feel organized enough for this title.
But most importantly, I will never forget the valuable advice Jamal Ismail gave me when I first started on Medium.
If you’re reading this article Jamal, please know that your advice greatly a lot in my quest to become Writer.

As you probably already know, the “100 followers” mark is one of the main criteria to apply for the “Medium Partner Program”. Don’t worry, this step required some sacrifices, but with patience and perseverance, I reached the goal.
Another fundamental step to joining the program is to have already published at least one article in the last six months on the platform. Again, don’t worry, this step is already done.
Next, comes the question “Are you in…?” That’s right. You can already guess what I’m going to talk about. Medium regulars know the famous question very well: “Are you one of the 31 countries…?”. And this is where it gets complicated.
I’M UNFORTUNATELY NOT PART OF THIS LIST.
I’m not saying I didn’t know. Of course, I knew it. But it’s still hard to accept that this is a blocking factor to making money.
Besides, who doesn’t love? Everyone can or has the right to benefit (financial compensation) from this burning passion that just wants to come out of the depths of their being.
I would like to be able to enjoy it too.
A few months ago, I came across an article by David Nkwa that you can find here. I must admit that it put me on a few tracks, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.
I don’t know if this has ever worked for anyone. But I would like to find some help.
Although the Medium team has been promising for a while that they will expand the number of countries allowed, I’m still in limbo.
Uncertainty… Why?
Simply because, despite the next promised “update”, I’m still not sure mine will be included.
