If you put 100 red ants and 100 black ants together in a jar, nothing will happen. This may surprise you… but it’s true. And I’ll explain why in a few lines.

But first, disregard the number (100 ants) that I put. It’s just for illustration. So, let’s move on.

Where was I… Let’s start again!

If you put 100 red ants and 100 black ants together in a jar, nothing will happen.

But if you shake the jar, the ants will start killing each other.

This is a joke! No, it’s not.

But what’s going on? Why do they suddenly start killing each other?

Here is what happens.

  • Red will think that Black is the enemy.
  • And Black will also think that Red is the enemy, when the real enemy is the person who shook the pot.

The same is true of our society. We often tend to get carried away by anger and end up fighting with each other. In such cases, few people end up realizing that they were wrong.

Keep in mind

Before we fight amongst ourselves, let’s ask ourselves: Who shook the bottle?

I hope you enjoy.
